Asparagus Soup à la Jamie

I just had a mini (but totally overwhelmingly acute) flashback to Paris for a second after realizing I hadn't posted this recipe for asparagus that soup we made one lunchtime in our apartment. It was lingering in my drafts, the sneaky bugger, and I can only imagine that it never actually got posted because, at the time, I couldn't fathom the words to do it justice.

But, now, I can do it justice. In just one word as well: fantasticalamazingwondermentofculinaryheavenlygoodness.

It's a Jamie recipe that you can make to your hearts content from here. He says that says you can eat it hot and cold (double the fun), but I can only vouch that it tastes good hot. Good enough that there wasn't any left over to eat cold. And that's good enough for me.
